hi, I have a question. I'm currently trying to burn a speakup enabled version of knopix to cd. and as a result, I'm doing dummy burns before I even attempt it. what I'd like to know is, what does this output mean? cdrecord: WARNING: Data may not fit on current disk. cdrecord: Notice: Overburning active. Trying to write more than the official disk capacity. Starting to write CD/DVD at speed 4 in dummy SAO mode for single session. Last chance to quit, starting dummy write 0 seconds. Operation starts. cdrecord: WARNING: Drive returns wrong startsec (0) using -150 Track 01: Total bytes read/written: 751005696/751005696 (366702 sectors).
the above I can figure out. but it's this below I'm having trouble understanding. cdrecord: Input/output error. flush cache: scsi sendcmd: no error CDB: 35 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION) Sense Bytes: 71 00 03 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 Sense Key: 0x3 Medium Error, deferred error, Segment 0 Sense Code: 0x0C Qual 0x00 (write error) Fru 0x0 Sense flags: Blk 0 (not valid) cmd finished after 10.493s timeout 200s Trouble flushing the cache does this mean, the cd I would have burned would have been a frizbee? -- Shaun Oliver "I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person." email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] WEB: http://blindman.homelinux.org/~blindman/ IRC: irc.awesomechat.net:6666 IRCNICK: blindman -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
