In FC2 , if you click on the browser icon on the toolbar, nothing happens 
as you describe, This, I found out, is because you have to set the defalt 
browser. Using the "Run" command allows Mozilla to run otherwise.

Re sound, my sound didn't work on install, but when I opened xmms and set 
its config, playing with the options, my sound suddenly started, I'm not on 
FC2 at present, so I can't advise the settings. My system has a Gigabyte 
N700Pro2 mobo with built-in sound (AC97 I think).
