Hi All.

I am having a problem with upgrading my packages with aptitude or apt-get.  If I use the upgrade option, the following error message is displayed after the packages are downloaded and the system is installing them.

dpkg: error processing bash (--configure):
 failed in buffer_read(fd): md5hash: Input/output error
Errors were encountered while processing:
 bash
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Ack!  Something bad happened while installing packages.  Trying to recover:
dpkg: error processing bash (--configure):
 failed in buffer_read(fd): md5hash: Input/output error
Errors were encountered while processing:
 bash

I have check the file system and everything seems to be okay.  Any idea or
solutions?  Note, I am only new to linux and only use the shell environment.

Sean
