> to Mozilla.If you're dealing with a large number of messages, you're probably better off using an IMAP server that uses Maildirs. Having done that you'll be able to use any mail client you like, including Evolution, which does an awesome job of searching imap mailboxes. I recommend Courier as an IMAP server, though there's a bunch of them around now. I hear that dovecot is cool too. Which version of evolution are you running? Incidently, there's a simple migration path for your existing mailboxes -- setup your imap server and setup your existing mail client to talk to it. Then just drag the messages accross.
