Indeed, that's the right place for up2date. But not the R-C-P tool,
which always wants to use the CDs - that's OK tho, up2date is a better
program anyway. 

In the sources file, set up a directory style repository. Unlike RHN /
Yum / APT repositories, this doesn't require generating indexes. Just
dump the packages you want in a dir.
