Hi,
is the Samsung running at it's native resolution under Xwindows?
Flat screen LCD's look VERY ordinary outside their native resolution...

Is this a dual boot machine? - if so there is a nice little font wizard somewhere in
KDE that allows you to grab all of your windows fonts from your mounted windows
partition. then you just change the fonts to what your used to, problem solved...if
you can't get access to windows fonts,
then try changing the ones that KDE is currently using...I found them to look
terrible!!!

As for the Nvidia driver, you need to manually add/change an entry in your
/etc/modprob.preload
file - change "nv" to "nvidia"

Worked for me!
