G'day Sluggers,

I recently purchased a Canon i865 and discovered, without a great deal of shock, that Linux is not supported by Canon. I have found a resonable driver for it using the BJC-8500 Omni driver with CUPS running a RH9.

The only problem is I can't get the top margin to work correctly. The top of the page is always the start of the page, regardless of what I set the margins to, using Redhat's config and OpenOffices. That is the first line if print always begins at the top edge.

The only reason print I have found is using Turboprint. But, even thought they are not asking a great deal of money, you still have to buy the driver off them, and this goes against one of my reasons for using Linux.

Does someone have a solution for correcting the margin, or should I just be done with it and purchase the driver from TurboPrint.

Thanks in advance, and sorry about the long email, my head is not working do to lack of sleep trying to fix this!
