G'day SLUGers, I am trying to install IPCOP with D-Link DSL 200 and TPG. I've read docos and it seems that DSL200 ver B has not being recognised as a proper ADSL modem for Linux yet. Luckily, my friend from china just bought DSL200 ver A. So, I am trying to make this ver A working together with IPCOP.
Unfortunately, after trial-error, I could not make this modem connected with TPG. I need some helps here... :( Here is my configuration that I have been set recently. Can somebody that has been successful in configuring this modem with IPCOP give me a hint? The words on bracket () are the options provided on IPCOP. ----------------------------------------------------------- INTERFACE Interface: ECI ADSL (Modem/Alcatel USB ADSL/ECI ADSL/Pulsar ADSL) TELEPHONY Maximum retries: 0 Idle timeout (mins; 0 to disable): 0 Dial on Demand: No Connect on IPCop restart: Yes Persistent connection: No Dial on Demand for DNS: No ISP requires Carriage Return: No ADDITIONAL ECI ADSL SETTINGS Modem: D-Link DSL200 Protocol: RFC 1483 (RFC2364 (PPPoA)/RFC 1483) Encapsulation: MODE_VC (MODE_VC/MODE_LLC) Encapsulation: MODE_BRIDGED_ETH_LLC (MODE_BRIDGED_ETH_LLC/MODE_BRIDGED_ETH_VC/MODE_ROUTED_IP_LLC/MODE_ROUTED_IP_VC) Static IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx VPI Number: 8 VCI Number: 35 AUTHENTICATION Username: myname Password: (blank) Script Name: (blank) Method: PAP or CHAP (PAP or CHAP/Standard login script/Demon login script/Other login script) DNS Type: Manual (Manual/Automatic) Primary DNS: as supplied by TPG Secondary DNS: as supplied by TPG ----------------------------------------------------------- As described on http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/modems.php?modem=23 I upload synch02.bin which I have got from their download site. No luck at all, when I go to the main page, it stating that the ADSL is on 'idle' mode. Did I make mistake on the configurations? What should I do then? If somebody has been successfully configure it with the Ver B, I do appreciate the answers as well... Thanks a Bunch in Advance, Phillipus __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
