I'm running RH 8 with kernel version 2.4.18-27.8.0 and this version seems to fail to release memory after a while in that I have to resort to rebooting the system. I've tried version 2.4.20-13.8 and that seems to have the problem fixed, but I can't move to that version of the kernel because the SCO binary compatiblity module seems to be missing.

How can I fix the memory without losing my SCO binary compatibility?
