It may help to give some description of what Crystal does. I for one don't know but I'm guessing from this that it's some kind of thing that draws graphs and so forth from the output of database queries? If so, check out tora (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tora/), or you might be able to assemble something with OpenOffice.org, which I believe can talk to a MySQL database.
