Just got a question from a friend who is dabbling in linux and was about to shoot off an answer but thought I'd verify my answer first. Turns out it wasn't as simple to answer as I thought. The question: can a group be listed as a member of another group? man pages offer no definitive answer, neither does google (probably the search term rather than google though), and I see no way of adding a group as a member of a group beyond editing the group/gshadow file. I'm saying no, but thought I'd check here first.
