Still, whenever I've registered domains for other people, I check for common 
mis-spellings, typos and omissions to make sure prospective visitors don't 
end up somewhere undesirable (if possible).  A church group I registered a 
domain for, if they'd kept their "preferred" domain name in the .org.au, name 
space would have visitors end up at a rather nasty European site for witches 
if they left the .au off.  They added a hyphen and another word to their 
domain and that was safe :)

I guess that reinforces your point (and Ken F's) about being professional (and 
thorough).
