Oscar,
I've installed 7.3 and 8 (using boot floppy) OK on this h/ware
9 asks for device driver floppy (for aha2940); then fails to see the CD

ahmmm, I don't have the original CDs for 9 here, they're in the server
room, I'm using copies of these. not sure when I can check what the
originals are

every time I hit 'enter' on 'insert your install CD, I was getting a
repeat of the:

'trying to mount scd0' and 'ISO9660 ext rrip1991a'

anyhow, maybe I'll try later with an up to date CD drive
