Yes Ive been looking at the same thing there is even a GCC project to make a compiler for the cpu on the player.

What got me was the hardisk can be removed on the fly (unlike the iPOD ) so you can buy extra hardisks and add/swap them as you need.

The Neuros Media player is really well in advance of the iPOD and not too $$$ considering the features.

Although Ive noticed from an article on /. yesterday the Linux on iPOD project is working now and you can boot Linux on your iPOD and play games etc.

Hi,

Does anybody know if it's possible to get the Neuros "digital audio
computer" (http://neurosaudio.com/) in Australia? It's miles ahead of
anything else in terms of free-software-friendliness
(http://open.neurosaudio.com/), but not only can't I find an Australian

Kryten: "Ah, an excellent suggestion, Sir, with just two minor drawbacks. One, we don't have a power source for the lasers, and two, we don't have any lasers."
