You are most correct. The install fails because the kernel modules are not the same version as the running kernel in the installer. Bugger. I might just trundle off to Uni and burn a hole in their bandwidth (I'm sure I've sniffed some arts/law students logins this year... :P). I'm assuming today's Kubuntu build is OK?
