locate glibc and note the version.

However that wasn't the problem. I fought my way through another part of the site and found an alternate link to the plugin and hey presto! Either the first page has/had a dead link or some other weirdness(tm).
The colours on the video window display are all messed up I just get green & pink bars like some physco test pattern. :-( I can hear the sound track and see the static images properly however :-) Welcome to alpha software land... so I'm thinking "maybe not", at least for this version and my 'puter anyway.
