Logon to the wrt then click the security section in the top menus.. You should see something like so;
Firewall Protection: Enabled/Disable Block Anonymous Internet Requests Is the Block Anonymous Internet Requests ticked currently? If so untick and save the settings. Now ping. Hopefully it should work.
