seems I have not :

# rpm -ql --whatprovides openssl  |  grep libcrypto.so.1
# rpm -ql --whatprovides openssl  |  grep libssl.so.1
# rpm -ql --whatprovides openssl  |  grep libssl
/lib/libssl.so.0.9.6b
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# rpm -ql --whatprovides openssl  |  grep libcry
/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.6b

(hhhm, perhaps Eric was right telling me to give it up...?)
