There is a pre-approved Linux box for use as a proxy with DET. I had the devils own time of actually finding out how to configure it though. They block everything for good reason in schools. Since they over spec'd the links there was no need for the proxy and the computer I set up was decommissioned. I did not have time to pour resources into the school. If you do do this make sure you have a minimum of 1 hour per week every week and scope to do a bit more or else you are wasting everyone's time. (You can job share this) Be prepared to support a bit of windows as well, you have to help the school first and Linux second to gain trust. -- Ken Foskey OpenOffice.org developer -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
