Well it's probably the better way. Here's another not so great way. I had
a site where they just wanted anybody to be able to print whether logged
in or not, there were no file shares (the shares were on another server
accross a VPN). I solved this by not having any local samba users and
using the 'map to guest = bad user' option in the /etc/samba/smb.conf
file. So the issue lies in the choice of username the Windows client uses
to connect to the samba server. Oh yeah... the [printers] section had
public access too.
