Thanks, I missed that.  I got lost somewhere in the twisty maze of
little packages, and being inexperienced with apt-{get,cache} didn't
help.

I'm used to the Redhat way:

    [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ rpm -q kernel kernel-source
    kernel-2.4.20-42.7.legacy
    kernel-source-2.4.20-42.7.legacy
    [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ uname -r
    2.4.20-42.7.legacy
