Sorry not to have much useful information, but it worked for me. Check
the header files buried within the /lib/modules/2.6.11-1.27_FC3 directory
are correct and all present. rpm -V kernel might help.
Also I did reboot into the new kernel and de-install the old one before
configuring VMWare, perhaps that is the difference.
