I've got ClarkConnect running as a File and Print Server on my home LAN and have just attached a 120gb SATA drive to the Server for data storage.

Accessing the Server with WebMin File Manager I can see the drive OK and access the data thereon - ditto from Win XP Windows Explorer.

When I access Webmin/Hardware/Partitions on Local Disk, the drive shows up OK, the Disk info is as follows:-

Location SCSI device A
Cylinders 14593
Size 112 GB
Model ATA ST3120827AS
Controller 0
Target 0

however, under the Partitions heading is shown:-

No partitions found

Add primary partition Add extended partition

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The drive is formatted ext3, one Primary partition

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Disk and Network File Systems under WebMin shows:-

/mnt/data New Linux Native Filesystem (ext3) SCSI device A partition
1 No Yes

Why doesn't WebMin show the partition info under "Hardware/Partitions on Local Disk" ?

Any ideas?

The setup works perfectly. I'm just curious.

Thanks

Bill
