YUM is good, but IMHO apt-get is still better, much
faster queries etc. There is now an apt-get package
for fedora core 4 which would be more suitable than
using core 3 repo's. The package auto creates the
/etc/apt/sources.list.d files (as apposed to haveing
everything under /etc/apt/sources.list You can get the
rpm here =
http://dag.wieers.com/packages/apt/apt-0.5.15cnc6-4.2.fc4.rf.i386.rpm
It works great great, and as it includes about 5
repo's for core 4, you should have every piece of
software you are after using apt-get install <package>
or install synaptic with apt-get install synaptic to
use the gui for package installation.
Hope that is usefull.
