OK I just wanted to mention you can still buy the Zaurus 5500 here for US$140 and delivery is about US$38.
You can get a very recent review of the Zaurus 5500 here
The upside of the Zaurus is it runs Linux as many of you know and also it runs QT by default but the KDE guys have a full KDE firmware variant that also runs on it.
Syncing isn't a problem because its just another Linux machine its not a crippled OS. *cough* WinCE *cough*.
If your really game get the Zaurus 6000 it has a better screen and way more grunt and on many websites its massively reduced right now.
Also of some interest are the up coming PDA Mobile phones from Nokia and Motorola and Sony/Ericsson ( the later two have Linux already running on mobiles).
Apparently Nokia are using a free open desktop window manager called Matchbox that was started as a project by a single programmer to create an easy to use graphical working environment for the Zaurus pda, Info on matchbox can be found here.
The matchbox project is an excellent example of how a well done FOSS project can lead to greater things.

Personally I'm looking (in a casual way) for a PDA that will sync up with KDE's "Kontact". I've heard people report varying degrees of success with Evolution but I'm a KDE-kinda-guy (it's sad but true).
