I'm not 'a file manager person' but since I've migrated nearly 1/2 dozen winders users to linux I needed to be very critical of the FM. Konqueror is the only one of many that I've tried that I get consensis is better than win-explorer, is rational and works intuitively. I'm not, and have never been a winders user, so my intuitive bias is not winders centric. My only complaint about konqueror is that resolving 100s of icons eg jpegs takes time. I still prefer that it does, so I've not researched turning it off. [but some recent research is relevant: a class of students was split in half, given gimp and photoshop. 1/2 way through (the year?) they were swapped. Most thought that the new program was terrid, and that the old was great. There was slight bias to gimp, but not overwhelming ... so baby duck symptom prevails] This is an invitation for comment.
