I followed Jeff's instructions in the link (supplied by Chris) below, and set this up on my Mepis (Debian) SOHO Server, although I used X11vnc instead of X11 in the /etc/inetd.conf changes.

Unfortunately all that seems to happen is that a terminal is started on the Server Desktop when I log in directly.

I can't access the Server ( either the KDM log-in screen or the Desktop after logging in directly) from another PC via tightvnc.

Have I done something wron or have I misunderstood the purpose of Jeff's How-To?

Should the changes be on the Workstatio rather than the Server?

All I want is for X11vnc to start on my SOHO Server at boot, without having to log-in.

Thanks

Bill
