Hi, I am wondering if it is a bug or a mis-config on my part ...
my default account cannot connect to the server with error message

"Sending of message failed.
Thge message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server
smtp.paradise.net.nz failed. The server maay be unavailable or is
refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting
is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator."

Two other T*bird profiles connect seamlessly and I cannot find an error
in Edit->Account Settings->Outgoing Server (SMTP). I have varied port
and secure connection settings without any change.

The server is otherwise OK, despite occasional congestion (on paradise
cable).

I'd be grateful for any constructive ideas. I'm off to sleep.

Cheers,

Adam Bogacki,
