Hi all, Sorry for cross posting, I figured this was relevant to SLUG and SLUG-chat, if not, I won't do it again :)
Please check out http://maitri.ubuntu.com/softwarefreedomday/wiki/index.php/Sydney for details on what we are doing this Saturday (the 10th) for Software Freedom Day. All volunteers will meet at around 9:30am for a coffee (and perhaps brekkie for the lazy ones like me ;) at a place to be stipulated on the wiki link above tomorrow (once i confirm where is open), and then we split into the teams giving out CDs on the street (Pitt St, Town Hall and Glebe Point Rd) or going to UTS for the demos, talks and installfest that goes from ~10 - ~5pm). Please put your hand up if you specifically want a particular job, or even if you can only drop in for a few hours, do so and say gday :) There will be loads of CDs handed out and hopefully balloons, stickers and fake tattoos! It is going to be a rocking day, the more we all get in and get our hands dirty, the more fun it will be! Currently the volunteers are: Me, Jeff, Chris Deigan, Lindsay Holmwood, Sara and Moe Kaan, Colin McDermott, Bruce Badger, Michael Kedzierski, Grant Parnell, Bruce Badger, Nicholas Jefferson, Trent Waddington, Che Kristo, Mark Greenaway, David Kwok, Daniel Ruglass, Andrew Sinclair, and Adrian Van Dries Not all these people are able to be there all day, so more help would be great! The teams wandering the streets are not yet concluded, so if you have a preference, please let me know. Cheers, Pia -- Linux Australia http://linux.org.au/ Jeff: Whatchootalkin'boutwillis?
