G'day Oscar,

The words themselves were said with a smile and tounge-in-cheek. :)

I think I did have something constructive to say - having a sense of humour and being able to relate to a sense of humour is an important part of our profession that is often lacking. (It challenges me when I get the grumps with some upstart on a mailing list!) ;) :)

(As an exercise, try smiling and listening to your boss - hard as it may be sometimes doing so will often mean he'll listen to you that time when you think you need another Linux server.)

Anyway the point is that Paul J Fenwick and Jacinta Richardson make /significant/ /unpaid/ and /voluntary/ contributions to the Open Source community. (Really, you should follow their movements if you don't believe me!)

Paul's presentation was, as per usual, excellent. AFAIR, it is also a shorter version of the talk he is giving at the Open Source conference later this year.

It's a pity you weren't there to see it.

Raphael.
