Try the Logitech Quickcam. Pretty common, and most models are supported.
I'd find a supplier, then google the model you are thinking of getting
to confirm Linux support. I recently bought a Quickcam Communicate, and
it seems to work well, although the price/quality ratio is average. It
was $80 from officeworks.
