the file is a binary type (.bin), I wonder if you can just type the name of the file, then it suppose to run everything automatically.

If you want to run the java compiler (like javac , java) anywhere no matter which path you are
you can edit the .bashrc

I downloaded Java Runtime and have it sitting on my desktop. Now I do
not know how to get it up and running. Would kind person email the
command line entry needed? I am running Ubuntu.
