I've looked at that, and also a couple of other good beginner resources, but just spent 1/2 a day trying to resolve something that i'm sure someone could answer in 30 seconds :( In the end, I kludged around it. Sometimes, humans are the best resource (PS: the problem was determining the data type of a list item at run time..
