I've seen a few consumer level "appliance" storage
servers such as the Dlink DNS-312H:

Does this box run Samba? The specs seem to suggest that
it might but there is no actual detail of what software
is running. There's a Linksys one that isn't much

Looks pretty similar, again seems like it might run
Samba but no mention. Wonder what is the deal here?
Anyhow, a host of these devices seem to be popping up
