running on a old P166MMX with 128Mb RAM for about a year

Ran best with an Ethernet modem - the USB modem seemed to suck a lot of power and caused it to be unhappy at times.

If you need any cheap hardware, (eg. RAM, network card, or another old HDD - 4Gig) I still have the machine, I just don't use it anymore (it eventually had 196Mb RAM - 3 X 64Mb chips).
