Hiyas, So trying to get some live audio happening via ices2, which in turn will go through icecast2. Currently icecast2 is working a charm for pre-recordings. What I want to get running is the live streaming audio capability of ices2. I have copied the example file (the docos online are a bit misleading) to /etc/ices.xml. I have altered the contents a changed what needed to be changed, eg: hostname, port, stuff like that. I only get 1 "EROR" in the logfile "/var/log/ices/ices.log". This "EROR" says the following:
EROR stream/ices_instance_stream Failed initial connect to localhost:8000 (Socket error: Success) Now, usually when a failure to connect occurs I wouldn't expect to see the socket error of "Success". This seems a bit counter-intuitive to me so far. Anyways I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with this. If need be I'll use previous versions. Currently I'm trying to get ices 2.0.1-3 from the ubuntu universe. I'm happy to provide more info if need be.
