a HP 1320n laser with print server and postscript just worked for me. It is a nice robust cube without plastic trays hagging off. There was a samsung one for one third the price that came with linux drivers that the sales people tried to steer me to but it had plastic trays hanging out, ie more breakable.

Hi all,

I'm looking into buying a networked printer, and I wanted to know if
anyone can share some advice on a good one.

It has to "work by itself", with a built-in printing server which is
Windows compatible and usable by GNU/Linuxes via Samba.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
