Hi all,
I'm needing to monitor the server logs of a machine that I don't have
shell access to, but can have software installed onto if necessary. I'm
looking to be able to monitor web server logs for specific errors and be
notified by email if (when!) they happen.
Nagios has been recommended, and it looks great, but is perhaps more
than is required. What other options are out there? I could script
something but don't want to reinvent the wheel.
The platform is RHEL, probably version 4.
Thanks,
Rob.
