-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 So I've ditched gnome-terminal in favour of Eterm since Eterm is considerably faster than gnome-term (and ditched metacity and gone back to fluxbox, but that's another story).
Everything is nice and dandy except for one thing that really annoys me. When I use xterm or gnome-term, PROMPT_COMMAND happily sets the title to the hostname of whatever I'm connected to, my localhost, servers, ssh'ing through multiple servers, all the way without any voodoo. But with Eterm, PROMPT_COMMAND only seems to get set when I first open up Eterm, but any subsequent machines that I connect to, the title doesn't change. I can work around this by setting TERM=xterm, but then I loose Ins/Del/Home/End, which I really would like to keep. Anyone know how to work around this (and I'd rather not have to put PROMPT_COMMAND into every .bashrc on every server, there's just too many and I didn't have to do that before). - -- dave. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFEO0BThPPdWeHRgaoRAn7BAKDNjv8qJv2L2xmBl6EqT+FEB5wOrgCgtXTP OW81RdrkdWUcXOaZHBLXRS8= =LRTK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
