I've just had to do a mobo swap on a box and now the brand new Gigabyte/Via mobo flat out won't find the 2 40Gb WD drives.
I know that I have had incidents before where the BIOS was reluctant to detect WD HDD, but eventually did after about a 30 sec delay, but in this case it just refuses. I have both drives setup as masters, on the end connector of 80 core cables, one on each IDE bus with no other IDE device on either bus and I have checked the jumpering of the drives according to the label.
