I have installed fc5 on my new laptop and I am having no end of bother getting the wireless connection going.

I've just managed to get a netgear wg511v2 (made in China) card working in SLED-10 by using the ndiswrapper. The docs say this card is completely unsupported using Linux native drivers.

The process was very painless, there is really good documentation on the web, and the card worked first time. Suggest that you put "ndiswrapper" into Google, but you could also start here:

 http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/

This prompted me to dig out my wg311v2 card that has been sitting in the cupboard for a few months and see if I could get it going. I succeeded using the acx project http://acx100.sourceforge.net/wiki/ACX
