Hi All,

I wanted to transfer some data from window to linux, and then removed those
data:
cp -r /windows/directory_w /linux/directory_l
rm -r /windows/directory_w
and then I accidently deleted that linux directory :(
rm -r /linux/directory_l

Now I am trying to recover data.

I tried to recover that windows directory first. And I did according to your
suggestions, but had problem with bad file name, so it didn't work for me. :(
The directory that I want to recover is called 'diary' and there files
are named like '2006.1', '2006.2', etc. (and they are MS Word files)
Details are like this:

shaka:/space/yxu_try_recover # fsck.vfat -vru /Documents\ and\ Settings/Xu\
Yi/My\ Documents/diary/2006.5 windows
dosfsck 2.11 (12 Mar 2005)
dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN

Afterwards I mount this 'windows' file, and searched for the missing file, but
it was not there. :(

Does anyone have any idea what mistake I made? And what should I do to recover
those files? Thanks a loooooooooot!
