Ugh. So, it turns out that when I'd specified different bus IDs for each of the two cards (lspci shows it as two devices), it decided that Xinerama hinting was a no-go. If you set it to use the same bus ID, it works fine. Still without 3D though. It claims my server is missing DRI, even though I've got the line in there to load it.
