Folks.
I'm having a bit of trouble with getting hosts.allow to do what I want it to do.
As I understand it, you can either enter IP addresses or hosts into
hosts.allow to access services {I've got ALL:ALL in hosts.deny}
So
sshd:203.1.1.1
should work
and
sshd:.homeunix.org
should also work.
However, when I setup a hosts.allow for an entry with a FQDN it
doesn't seem to work.
Is there some caveat to this I'm not aware of? Does the domain name
lookup only work for locally hosted domains or something?
Any clues accepted.
