Hi all, attached are two pdfs (one bw and one colour) for the SFD2006. Could everyone please print them out and put them up on notice boards, in workplaces and in universities. We really specifically need help getting them into universities so if everyone can put them up at any university they go to n the next couple of weeks, that would be great! If you have access to a colour printer, even better :)
The event is looking great. We have some amazing speakers confirmed now, including Senator Kate Lundy, Rodney Gedda from IDG, Travis Harvey from the Australian Development Gateway and of course some great community people including Conrad Parker, Jeff Waugh, and more. Check out the website at: http://softwarefreedomday.org/teams/oceania/au/sydney The day starts at 10am and runs through till the grand finale at 5pm. It will be a really fun day and we have space allocated for the workshop that will be fun for hacking. There will be some prizes and the like and also the video team will be recording the event in testing for lca, so come along to check out how they do it. It is a great event to bring people who don't understand the freedom aspect to FOSS yet. Also, if anyone has a workshop they want to run, please add yourself to a workshop slot on the wiki above. If you want to help we still need some people to help with printing and preparation of stuff for the day, for putting up posters and sending the day information out to other communities and of course on the day for helping make it a fun day.
