Thanks for that. I have a friend who lives in
Penrith. She with Bigpond. Whenever she rings
because of connection difficulties, she gets the
same answers, "must be because you're using Linux"
or "We don't support Linux". She's not able to
lie convincingly, so I have to do it for her.
I've found that if I check everything myself
first, then tell them I'm doing what they're
asking, they're then happy to check their end...
and find the problem. BLAH.
It's very frustrating and so I want to get her to
subscribe to an ISP which will actually help her
check the problem, rather than brush her off
because of her OS (as well as saving me time too :).
