Hi Jeff,

I'm using the server CD for sparc. I've just downloaded 6.06.1 to see if its any different. I read somewhere that a text install might give me the partitioning options that I think are missing in the version (?) I have. I don't think 6.06.1 is a text install but we'll see.

The frustrating thing is that fdisk would sort this out in a flash but I cannot get at it during the install.

The even more frustrating thing is that Ubuntu supports the Qlogic 2200f/66 card (and firmware, it seems) beautifully and I still cannot (at the moment) do what I want to do.

Any + ideas are warmly welcome.

Are you installing with the desktop CD or the alternate/server CDs? If you
want RAID and LVM, use one of the latter.
