Nautilus is showing all mounted partitions and disks on the desktop.
I'd rather it didn't as it will just be confusing for the machines
other users.
Is there a magic incantation to make it stop doing this?
Debian Sid is the distro.
Thanks
Hal
No magic incantation, but there is a very simple check box you can
untick.
open gconf-editor then select apps --> nautilus --> desktop
and simply uncheck -- volumes_visible.
And thats it!!
Either that or mount everything that you dont want to show up,
somewhere other than /media, perhaps under /mnt would be appropriate.
Anything mounted under /media is what nautilus shows on the desktop.
Yeah that worked.
These are hda6 mounted as /var etc.
No need for any user to ever see that, I reckon.
Thanks again,
Hal
