Hi,

Just drawing people's attention to a project on setting up a lab of computers in a childrens home in India:

It appears that they have deciding on Edubuntu based on the feeling that it will be
some what easier to find a community of developers and users using it and capable of supporting it.

I think this is a good opportunity for SLUG members to get involved with EWB. They have an online Phorum
( http://www.ewb-isn.com/), I think you need to be a member of EWB - but they have free membership.
I hear that they are transitioning to a Xoops platform.

Editing pages on the wiki requires registration on the Phorum - the passwords are linked.

One of the biggest challengest will be decent speed internet access - last I heard they are on GPRS modem's and there is no support for ADSL in their telephone exchange. If anyone has suggestions on how to help here that would be great!

Cheers
David
