Hey all,

I've put this position up on the Linux jobs list
(http://www.linux.org.au/jobs/). For some reason, it never showed up,
and I never got any return from my emails asking about it. So I'll
post it here myself.

I would kindly ask for whoever is interested to reply to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], and not this address I'm using to send the email.

Our company is looking for a Solaris/Linux systems administrator.

The ideal candidate:

   * will have proven experience with Solaris 10 / OpenSolaris.
   * will have in-depth knowledge of IP networking, including
routing, firewalling, VPNs, and traffic encryption.
   * has used GNU/Linux extensively. Although this is not the main
focus of the position, part of our systems are deployed in GNU/Linux.
We stress that no experience with a particular distro is required, but
instead, an overall understanding of how GNU/Linux works.
   * will be proficient with a shell (Bash, ZSH, TCSH, etc).
   * understands webservers (Apache, Lighttpd), MySQL, Postfix.
   * can write code. Although this is not a programmer position, we
are looking for people who are really into computing science.

Other desirable experiences:

   * Have experience in mass automated deployments of *nix servers.
   * Experience in large IT operations management is highly regarded.

To sum it up, we are looking for an enthusiastic geek, who's into
computing, and looking for an opportunity to learn more. Our company
is conducting a server and systems deployment for a global audience,
and at the same time, looking into experimenting with Sun based
servers. This is where the candidate fits in.

Payment is negotiable depending on experience. The company offers
excellent prospects for the right person. Interviews end at the 12th
of November.

Send your CVs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] if interested. We'll schedule
meetings in the next few days as canditates apply. Needless to say,
we'll only interview ideal candidates :-)

Thanks.
